Artemis is a renowned general in the Fire Mora who often fought alongside Zetterburn.Slade’s style and swagger allow him to dodge attacks entirely if his speed is high enough. Rumor has it the mineral is key to saving his homeland. He has made his way to Julesvale hunting a mysterious rare mineral unique to Julesvale. Slade is a pirate from the far-off Polekai Islands.Hamir is strong and sturdy, weathering blows until the time is right to crush his foes. Hamir now finds himself looking for a purpose and the courage to carry on. He has made his way to Julesvale in exile after losing his trusted partner. Hamir is a former Wall Runner from the mighty Rock Wall.As the jack of all trades, Fleet is a great character for learning the combat system. Fleet is the self-proclaimed protector of her hometown of Julesvale, although she’s seen as a clumsy menace more than a hero.I think they must have nerfed the chest because now days im mostly getting greens/epic from those.įarming Akamo up to 100 times for Soulrend/rings sounds mind numbingly boring, but to each own i suppose.Dungeons of Aether introduces four exciting new heroes to the world of Aether, each with their own unique skills and memorable personalities. I suppose if there was ever a time to give roguelikes more reason to run them it’d be now, since they sorely need at least something that they’re good for, and at this point it wouldn’t unbalance things too much.įor the amount of effort you have to put into running SOT/Bastion and ESPECIALLY VALBURY, the reward doesnt feel quite matching what you put in. Keeping the drop rates as they were was probably a decent idea at the time.īut now? With AoM there are plenty of other great alternatives to the MI belts (and MIs in general, what with all the new legendaries), aether crystal farming is no longer an issue since I can share them between characters, and ectoplasm seems to drop from everything. If those dungeons had increased legendary drop rates on top of that, well…I doubt anybody would have ever farmed anywhere else. Probably because the situation now is worse than ever.Ī little while ago the roguelike dungeons still at least had other reasons (not the most amazing ones, but still) to run them - MI belts and aether crystals from Valbury, plenty of ectoplasm-dropping enemies in SoT, etc.
